She has self published several books which currently sell on Amazon.com, www.offthebookshelf.com and from her own web sites.

Articles authored by Wendy Getchell (either as a ghost writer or under her own name) appear on a number of web sites related to nursing and retirement communities. Her articles also appear on suite101.com

She has created and writes for web sites such as Nurse Sentry of Canada and Hello Moose Jaw (a site dedicated to the city in which she currently resides), as well as several blogs.

Though health related subjects are Wendy's main interest, she has also ghost written books and articles related to home building, policy development, business start-ups and marketing, and even costume descriptions.

"I enjoy a challenge, enjoy researching and most certainly enjoy stretching my wings as a writer."

Having had a fictional story published in a children's magazine several years ago, she also enjoys writing for the youngest of readers.

"I have taken several courses geared toward writing for children, and let me tell you, this is more challenging than writing for the adult market."

Wendy's newest writing project is an amateur detective novel featuring, of course, a nurse as the main character.
